Originally from Wales and having called Australia home since childhood, Dr Fine combines an international perspective with deep local community connections. Dr Russell Fine is a highly experienced and friendly dentist who brings a calm and caring approach to his work, creating a warm and welcoming environment for all patients at Bayswater Family Dental. He strives to provide an easy, approachable treatment experience, no matter how small or large the case may be.
Education and Professional Development
Originally born in Cardiff, Wales, Dr Fine moved to Australia as a child and has built an impressive career in dentistry. He initially graduated in 1991 with a Bachelor of Science before discovering his passion for dentistry. In 1996, he furthered his studies and completed his Bachelor of Dental Science, registering with the Dental Board of Australia as a general dentist.
Over the past 15 years, Dr Fine has continued to advance his professional development by gaining qualifications in numerous areas of dentistry, including Invisalign, dental implants and snoring and sleep dentistry. He holds particular interest in sedation dentistry, treating dental phobic patients, reconstructive dentistry and cosmetic dental procedures that enhance patients' smiles.

Dr Fine is very proactive in keeping his practice current with the latest dental advancements and regularly attends educational courses to further his skills and knowledge. He maintains active memberships with:

Away from his practice, Dr Fine enjoys spending time with his family, including his wife, Jennifer, and their two young sons. He is an avid gardener who thoroughly enjoys cooking using his own garden crops—a unique hobby that combines his love for growing and preparing food. Dr Fine also keeps bees, adding another dimension to his connection with nature and sustainable living.

Dr Cheryne Hee is a warm and compassionate dentist who is dedicated to creating a comfortable, supportive, and positive experience for every patient from all walks of life. She takes pride in her gentle approach and strives to build genuine connections, helping patients feel at ease throughout their dental journey. With a strong passion for patient education, Dr Hee believes that empowering individuals with knowledge is key to achieving and maintaining long-term oral health. She ensures that every patient feels fully informed, confident, and involved in all aspects of their treatment.
Dr Hee graduated with a Bachelor of Biomedical Science and a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from The University of Western Australia. Following graduation, she spent time serving the community in the coastal city of Bunbury before returning to Perth.
She enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, with particular interests in preventive and restorative dentistry. Dr Hee is committed to ongoing professional development and regularly attends courses to further refine her skills and stay up to date with the latest advancements in dentistry. Her goal is to offer tailored treatment options with a strong focus on quality, longevity, and patient comfort.
Outside of dentistry, Dr Hee enjoys staying active through pilates, travelling, and discovering new restaurants and cafés. She is also multilingual, speaking Cantonese and understanding Malay, Mandarin, Korean, and Japanese, allowing her to connect with patients from diverse backgrounds.
